Physician Assistants (PAs)
PAs are professionals with a generalist healthcare education. They are dependent practitioners working under GP supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing care to patients in primary, secondary and community care environments. Working within a defined scope of practice they are able to see patients with a wide range of conditions. They will take medical histories, carry out physical examinations, formulate differential diagnoses, and deliver appropriate treatment and management plans.
